On Saturday, October 7th, 2017, PeachCap sponsored a fundraising event for a charity partner, New Story. 120 people gathered in West Midtown to raise funds to build homes for families living in Titanyen, Haiti.
The goal was to fund 50 homes for families living in survival mode in the community whose name literally translates to, “less than nothing.” The incredibly generous group in the room came together and funded 74 homes for families!
New Story is a non-profit working to create a world where no human being lives in survival mode. The organization currently works in Mexico, Haiti, El Salvador and Bolivia where they have funded more than 1000 homes for families in need. Their 100% model ensures that every penny of each donation goes to building homes while their organization overhead is covered by private donors. The $6,000 homes are built to last for generations and each donation is paired directly with a family so donors can see their impact.
PeachCap was honored to be a part of such an impactful evening. As an organization who works hard in our local communities, it was insightful and refreshing to also be able to spend time supporting this global cause.
CEO of New Story, Brett Hagler, summarized the partnership saying, “This event simply would not have been as successful without the support of PeachCap. Not only did the organization sponsor the event but their leaders also stepped up during the night to fund safe homes for families in need. We’re so grateful for the support of such an incredible company.”
